Like so many people I am a huge fan of DIY shows.  Add to that I am the daughter, granddaughter and niece of a long line of general contractors and the wife of a home renovator.  I have academic training in interior design and a talent for artistic endeavors.  When the opportunity presented itself to purchase our neighbors home we jumped at it.  

The previous owners had moved and lost interest in the home.  It had not been renovated or updated in quite some time.  We saw this as the perfect opportunity to put our skills and knowledge to the test and if you ask our neighbors, we passed with flying colors.  This home is a jewel.

The goal in house "flipping" is to make money of course, but our ultimate goal was to bring this home up to neighborhood standards.  When you do that it also increases the value of your home.  Considering we just live 2 doors down, this was a win-win situation for us. 

These are just a few of the before and after shot of what we've accomplished.  We had the roof replaced and the exterior wood repaired/replaced and painted.  New shutters, new windows, new heatpump system, new floors and the list goes on.
